college was fun!!

I walk back towards the large gates, breeze rustling leaves across the road, fluttering in the wind. walk past the lifeless canteen, with no one to shout. peep into the empty classrooms, missing the screams of joy. stand by the tree, where a hundred love was declared and broken. a tear escapes my eye and falls towards the emptiness of the sand, as my mind races in thought. alone i stand, as i think, its all over.. enjoy college life before this happens..

this was an sms a friend sent me a few days back..made me realise the good days are gonna be over real fast.. the countdown has begun, we got just 15 days left in college!! soo soon!!!.. i vividly remember my first day in college..the hugeness of the campus just blew me away!!.. i got lost the first two days.. it seems hilarious now..sigh!! tht feeling of anticipation, nervousness, those wild, scary stories about ragging that flew around which made our knees jitter everytime a senior passed by.. mustering enough courage to leave the haven of class only in big groups. man!! that was first year! oh ya..and my friends had to literally drag me out the first time i cut class..wow!! unimaginable now!!

the second and third year is kinda blurred ..cultural fests..dhwani, technical fests, tours- the unofficial tour in s4, the industrial visit in s5, ragging ;) (nothing serious ofcourse!!), cutting classes, movies, hanging out at friends houses, the group studies phenomenon..

the final year well.hardly any classes..more fests, another huge all india tour-a once in a lifetime thing..then the campus placements..ooo man..being a cgpu rep was an awsome experience, then there were the mass cuts and more roaming around with friends..
the final sem..hardly any classes, one very interesting project,elections, then began the fights in the college..strikes, violence, bad times..now again things are calm around campus..next week is demo week..that is going to be such fun..for the non cetians, let me explain.. as the tradition goes, the final year students dress up in different "themes" like a full scale fancy dress or fashion parade..and make a lotta noise in the first year classes and in general act like hooligans..there is a black day, a "pandi day", a cross dressing day which means guys dress like girls and vice versa, then there is "gunda day" in which we dress like criminals, then there is school day in which we dress like school kids, complete with the school bag, water bottle, etc etc... what fun..man!! really looking forward to freak out during the coming days..extremely excited..
i totally intend to enjoy my college days while it lasts..amen! :)
